In an effort to improve its public image, the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant opened its own Science & Nature Center (Off Rte. 1,Seabrook, 603/773-7219, www.fpl.com, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Mon.–Thu., free) in 1978, soon after the controversy that almost shut down the plant. The center includes a marine touch pool as well as a boardwalk nature trail, not to mention many exhibits extolling the environmental virtues of nuclear power…To get to the center, take exit 1 off I-95, cross Route 1 and proceed through the security checkpoint.
