Sakonnet Peninsula

Surrounded on one side by Massachusetts, and on the other by the ocean, the Sakonnet peninsula is the quiet corner of Rhode Island. The two towns of Tiverton and Little Compton are typified by acres of flat farmland, surrounded by trim stone walls and grey-shingled farmhouses that look as if they were airlifted from Nantucket. At the end of the scenic drive, Sakonnet Point is home to a pretty fishing village and marina, along with some of the most secluded beaches in the state.
