NYC Spa Week

Hitting the concrete jungle to shop till you drop, dance the night away, or wander endless exhibit halls can leave a body in need of a refresher. Spas abound in New York City and number in the hundreds, with services from an express mani/pedi to hi-tech scientific body treatments.

One smart way to get a taste of the best is to plan your trip around the bi-annual Spa Week (www.spaweek.com). Each April and October, the city’s best offerings (normally falling in the $120–250 range) can be had for a flat $50 as more than 150 top NYC day spas open their doors to show off their top treatments.

The list of participating spas changes from event to event. Be sure to check the Spa Week website to see if your favorite spa is participating.
