The successful hotels in Puerto Escondido are appropriate to the town itself: small, moderately priced, and near the water. They dot the beachfront from Playa Zicatela around the bay and continue up Av. Pérez Gasga to the highway. Most are either on the beach or within a stone’s throw of it, which makes sense, because it seems a shame to come all the way to Puerto Escondido and not stay where you can soak up all the scenery.
Rates for the hotels, unless noted, are in effect most of the year, except for high season (Christmas–New Year, Easter, some long weekend holidays, and sometimes July and August).
