Lincoln City has more hotel rooms than any other coastal Oregon city. There are plenty to choose from, and many are very similar—basic hotel rooms within walking distance of the beach. However, there are some distinctions.
Unless severely constrained by budget, one would not purposefully choose to stay on the east side of U.S. 101, necessitating an unpleasant fording of that great vehicular river just to walk to the beach, so all the following hotels are on the beach side of the highway.
Also, just because a hotel is new doesn’t mean that it’s preferred over older models. Some vintage hotels and motels have the best locations, and their slightly worn-in atmosphere is perfect for a summer holiday.
