Jackson County Fair
The Jackson County Fair (www.jcfairgrounds.com) is held at the county fairgrounds (1 Penninger St., Central Point) just north of town the third weekend in July, with livestock competitions, midway rides, and musical entertainment.
Pear Blossom Festival
The Pear Blossom Festival (www.pearblossomparade.org) takes place the second weekend in April with arts and crafts exhibits, a parade, and a 10K run. The real attraction is the panorama of the pear orchards in bloom against the backdrop of snowcapped Mount McLoughlin. The parade and run take place downtown, and festivities continue at Alba Park (301 W. Main St.) with more than 100 booths of arts and crafts, food, music, and children’s activities.
