Some of the best urban climbing to be found anywhere is at the Columns, a basalt cliff located on public land against the west side of Skinner Butte in downtown Eugene. Limited parking is available at the Columns, but it’s more enjoyable to ride a bike here by following the road rimming the butte. Climbing is free.
