There is a rooftop terrace with a small pool, where you can be served lunch, overlooking the square. A handful of rooms have private terraces over the square itself; the remaining rooms look into a modern, interior courtyard. Amenities include air-conditioning, minifridges, cable TV, WiFi, and a safety deposit box.
West of town is the charming La Posada del Puente (Esquina Puente Grau/Av. Bolognesi 101, tel. 054/25-3132, www.posadadelpuente.com, US$105 s, US$125 d with breakfast), across the Puente Grau. The landscaping is well done and the modern rooms with vaulted ceilings overlook the Misti volcano and Río Chili. All have cable TV and WiFi. The elegant dining room has a view of the river too.
