Fairmount Park’s Horticulture Center includes an arboretum that dates to 1876, an expansive greenhouse that was built for the bicentennial celebration in 1976, and more than 20 acres of lush landscape.
Paths wind through gardens, also home to a butterfly garden, a large reflecting pool, and various sculptures of poets, musicians, and animals.
The inside display area contains colorful tropical plants, flowers, perennials, herbs, everlastings, and rare trees. Picnic areas are available on the grounds.
