Philadelphia’s other hockey team, the Phantoms, is the AHL minor-league affiliate of the Flyers. With players destined for the Flyers roster, the Phantoms serve as a pipeline of talent to the NHL and an alternate source of hockey at a more reasonable price for hungry hockey fans.
Half-time entertainment, games, free giveaways, and regular meet-the-players sessions make games especially popular with families.
With one of the strongest followings in the league and a history of success including winning the Calder Cup in 2005, games sometimes sell out.
