The city of Wilmington, Delaware, and the surrounding area has quite a few museums, including the Delaware History Museum, Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, Natural History Museum, Sports Museum and Hall of Fame, and even the Toy and Miniature Museum.
If you have time to do it all, visit the visitors center in downtown Wilmington for more details about the many great options.
If you only have a day or a weekend, the biggest must-see attractions are several estates, homes, and gardens left by the du Ponts, the area’s most famous—and wealthy—residents through history.
