It is difficult to categorize this venue as just one thing since it excels as a bar, a restaurant, and as a live music venue. It’s also the only live venue of its stature in this part of Philadelphia and probably the only venue in Mt. Airy that draws so many people from outside the neighborhood.
There are a wide variety of small to mid-name musical acts that come through, as well as salsa dancing nights, comedy acts, and dance parties. Under the same ownership as North Star Bar, it’s no surprise that it has been such a success.
The music offerings cater to a diverse and often more mature crowd than many of the other small bars/live music venues in the city, and the reasonably priced menu offers good, hearty American food.
