Walk up the creaky stairs to the 2nd floor of this unassuming Old City store, and prepare to be dazzled by a wide array of hand-picked vintage and original creations. Part art gallery, part sewing studio, and part retail shop, Topstitch is a seamless fusion of all three.
When local chic labels Honeymilk, Babooshka, and Kinked Works came together to form Topstitch, local Philadelphians took notice.
Search the jewelry cases for nature-inspired feathered earrings or dainty one-of-a-kind brooches. Browse the racks for the perfect retro cocktail dress and a pair of croc pumps to wear when you come back for First Friday. And if you need a quick sewing fix, ask about renting a machine to satisfy your craving.
Monthly trunk shows display the work of local artists. While there is more here for women than men, due to popular request Topstitch recently added men’s clothing and accessories to their great selection.
