The nightlife in Ponce appears to be pretty limited. There are two casinos in Ponce. Ponce Hilton and Casino Resort (1150 Ave. Caribe, 787/259-7676, fax 787/259-7674, www.ponce.hilton.com, 10 a.m.–4 a.m.) is a 7,000-square-foot casino with 230 slot machines plus blackjack, craps, roulette, Caribbean stud poker, Texas hold ’em, and three-card poker.

Holiday Inn and Tropical Casino (3315 Ponce Bypass, 787/844-1200, open 24 hours) is a 9,800-square-foot casino with 339 slot machines plus blackjack, craps, roulette, let it ride, poker, three-card poker, and triple shot.

A restaurant by day, Restaurante Rincon Argentino (69 Calle Salud at Calle Isabel, 787/284-1762, rinconargentinoponce [at] hotmail [dot] com, daily) turns into an impromptu party spot for the young professional set later in the night. You can get some pretty good food too.

Hollywood Café (Carr. 1, km 125.5, 787/843-6703, Wed.–Mon. 6 p.m.–late) is a popular upscale sports bar and restaurant for the young meet-and-greet party set serving wings and other typical pub fare and a full bar. Inside are pool tables and loud music, and outside there’s a patio. There is live Latin music on the weekends.
