Abrams Creek is a lovely and relatively uncrowded corner of the Smokies. Accessible by car only from Happy Valley Road, this is one part of the park you can enjoy without setting foot (or tire) in any of the traditional entry points.
Abrams Creek is the focal point of this recreation area. The creek is deep and wide enough for swimming along the picnic area and campground. It is a good place for fishing, too.
From the campground, you can hike four miles to Abram’s Falls, a 20-foot waterfall. Continue on past the falls another 2.5 miles and you reach Cades Cove.
