The Memphis Queen Riverboat Tours (901/527-2628, $18) leave daily at 2:30 p.m. from the Port of Memphis, located at the foot of Monroe Avenue on the riverfront. The afternoon tour lasts 90 minutes and takes you a few miles south of the city before turning around. Commentary tells some of the most famous tales of the river, but the biggest attraction of the tour is simply being on Old Man River.
The views of the Memphis skyline from the water are impressive. Concessions are available onboard. The riverboats also offer dinner cruises with live music for about $35 per person.
