Each June, Waxahachie’s Gingerbread Trail Tour of Homes celebrates the city’s architectural legacy by showcasing historic commercial and community sites. One of the featured attractions is the 1902 Chautauqua Auditorium, an octagonal, 2,500-seat, open-air pavilion built in conjunction with the late-1800s adult education movement in Chautauqua, New York.
Other Gingerbread Trail events include an arts and crafts show, street dance, and performances on the downtown square. Call 972/937-0681 for more information.
