Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park
Trip Ideas
A more sober treatment of Tombstone’s history is presented inside this preserved 1882 courthouse on 3rd and Toughnut Streets (520/457-3311, daily 8 a.m.–5 p.m., $4 adult, $1 child 7–13). The museum features artifacts, pictures, and ephemera from the territorial days, and there’s a rebuilt gallows in the building’s courtyard.
Particularly interesting are the two nearly forensic accounts of the gunfight, each with slightly differing details.
