HOURS: Mon.–Fri. 11 a.m.–9 p.m., Sat. 10:30 p.m.–2 a.m.
El Charro, one of the Old Pueblo’s oldest and best-loved restaurants, has five locations around town, each of them with a version of Bar Toma, from which the local chain serves some of the best margaritas available anywhere. Weekdays 3–6 p.m. those margaritas are sold for half their usual price, as are the restaurant’s distinctive Mexican appetizers.
Bar Toma offers a long list of premium tequilas (all the añejos, blancos, and reposados you’ll ever need) and, of course, all the usual beers and cocktails as well.
The Bar Toma on East Broadway Boulevard is larger and wilder than some of the other locations. This venue offers dancing every Saturday night, playing everything from club to Norteño.
