The airy, tropical interiors at La Fuente, a popular Old Pueblo eatery since 1959, add to what always seems to be a busy, festive air in this popular Mexican restaurant on Oracle just north of downtown, but it’s the loud and brassy mariachi band strolling among the tables (Thurs.–Sun.) that really brings in the crowds.
The food here is excellent, if a bit pricey; the fresh guacamole, prepared before your eyes right at table, is among the best in town—and the atmosphere can’t be beat. A champagne brunch is served Sunday 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
