Tubac has more than 100 shops and galleries, many of them selling Mexican and South American imports. The village has a year-round Christmas gallery and several little shops whose wares simply must be seen. There are quite a few working art galleries, including the old adobe gallery of the late Hugh Cabot, a famous local artist.
