This Arizona chain’s claim to be “the last real record store” is, sadly, quite true—at least in these arid parts. For a few generations Zia sold an excellent selection of vinyl, cassettes, and CDs, both new and used, to all the state’s rock-and-rollers.
These days the vinyl and the cassettes are no longer stocked much, but the store’s Speedway Boulevard location is stocked full of CDs and DVDs of all stripes, still a mixture of the brand-new and the gently used, and often for prices similar to, if not below, the big chains.
