A few blocks back from the Inner Harbour is Andersen House Bed and Breakfast (301 Kingston St., 250/388-4565 or 877/264-9988, www.andersenhouse.com, $235–265). Built late last century for a retired sea captain, the house features large high-ceilinged rooms all overlooking gardens that supply the kitchen with a variety of berries and herbs. Each has an en suite bathroom, private entrance, wireless Internet, and CD player (complete with CDs). In the traditions of its original owner, the house is decorated with furnishings from around the world, including contemporary paintings.
