Past the airport, Brewer’s Bay Beach (Hwy. 30) is a popular and pleasant beach, especially among students from the neighboring University of the Virgin Islands, who can walk here from their dormitories.
Brewer’s Bay Beach is short but wide, with medium-grain honey-colored sand. The waters are protected, making Brewer’s a popular choice for families or beginning swimmers. There are no facilities, but a food bus or two usually park here on the weekends, selling cold drinks and snacks. There are also a handful of picnic tables, and if you’re here at the right time (midafternoon is best) you get the thrill of watching planes swoop down to land at the nearby airport.
