Chez Bamboo (The Valley, 284/495-5752, 3–10 p.m., $25–45) is a stylish New Orleans–style supper club located between the ferry dock and marina. A wraparound mural depicts a jazz band, and the menu borrows heavily from Creole traditions, throwing in occasional Caribbean touches. Try the conch gumbo, Nassau grouper en papillote, or strip steak with a creamy Worcestershire sauce. Desserts include delicacies like chocolate bourbon mint cake. There is often live jazz or blues on the veranda Friday nights. The food here is imaginative—some of the best on the island.
