The wine is the star at Cork, a bar that offers 50 wines by the glass and roughly 160 bottles from small vineyards around the world, but the small plates are noteworthy as well: goat cheesecake, crispy duck confit, fried shrimp, and calamari tarted up with lemon and pepper.
Wine neophytes appreciate the descriptions of the wines as well as the flights, which allow a taster to experience the different vintages without breaking the bank.
Often crowded and noisy, Cork is less of a romantic date place and more a fun setting to kick back with friends and enjoy the fruit of the soil.
