It took me years to find a decent card shop in DC—you know, those laugh-out-loud ones that are actually funny without having to resort to bodily-function jokes? And here it was all along, in the guise of a candy store.

Well, not exactly a candy store: Chocolate Moose is like a refined Spencer’s Gifts, thankfully minus the black lights and Day-Glo posters.

This store has Obama paper dolls, very fun moose and pig poppers for shooting projectiles at office mates, jewelry for big and little kids, wind-up toys, and more. And it sells candy—Belgian chocolates, bulk candy, lollipops, and gift bags of the sweets.
