Food
Stehekin Valley Ranch Restaurant (509/682-4677, June–Sept.) serves a menu that includes steaks, burgers, salad bar, and homemade desserts—all of which will taste pretty good after a week of backcountry travel or a long day in the saddle. Reservations are required. The restaurant is nine miles up the valley from Stehekin, but free transportation is provided.,/p>
Two miles up from the boat dock is Stehekin Pastry Company (open summers only), which offers delicious baked goods, ice cream, breakfasts, and espresso. Another restaurant—open all year—is inside Stehekin Landing Resort (509/682-4494) just a short walk from the dock.
