During the summer months, Eagle Creek Ranch (509/548-7798 or 800/221-7433, www.eaglecreek.ws, $29–40)—a 580-acre ranch surrounded by Wenatchee National Forest—offers a number of pack trips to nearby wilderness areas, along with horseback rides, wagon rides, and barbecue dinners. The same activities also take place at Mountain Springs Lodge (509/763-2713 or 800/858-2276, www.mtsprings.com, $25–225).
Icicle Outfitters and Guides (509/679-1703 or 800/497-3912, www.icicleoutfitters.com, $24–130) provides guided all-day rides into the Cascades and an assortment of pack trips.
For something even easier, hop on one of the horse-drawn carriages (509/548-6825) that roll through Leavenworth all summer long.
