Right on Highway 20 is Wilderness Village RV Park (57588 Hwy. 20, 360/873-2571, $11 tent, $18 full hookups) offering tent and RV sites. The public launderette here has showers.
Howard Miller Steelhead Park (52804 Rockport Park Rd., 360/853-8808, $14 tent, $20 full hookups or Adirondack shelters) is a small county park with big grassy lawns right along the river. In the park you’ll find Chief Campbell’s old dugout canoe and a log cabin built in the early 1880s. The old Rockport Ferry last used in 1961, sits along the river.
There are also a few camping options attached to local lodges and motels.
