Chuckanut Manor (360/766-6191, www.chuckanutmanor.com) has a two-room suite over the restaurant with a spa and private deck. Nearby is a cottage with a hot tub, antique furnishings, a private deck, and kitchen. Both of these are $150 d including continental breakfast.
Alice Bay B&B (982 Scott Rd. on Sammish Island just west of Edison, 360/766-6396 or 800/652-0223, www.alicebay.com, $155 s or d) has a two-story unit where you can soak in the hot tub on the deck overlooking Alice Bay, take the rowboat out, or walk the private beach; rates include a full breakfast. Kids are welcome.
Samish Point by the Bay (447 Samish Point Rd., 360/766-6610 or 800/916-6161, www.samishpoint.com, $185 s or d for the entire place) has four guest rooms with private baths in a secluded Cape Cod cottage facing Samish Bay. Outside, you’ll find a hot tub and extensive gardens. There is a two-night minimum. The kitchen is stocked for a make-your-own breakfast.
