For tasty, reasonably priced, and authentic south-of-the-border meals, visit Rico’s Mexican Restaurant (636 E. Front St., 360/452-3928, 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. daily), with an extensive menu and daily specials.

Housed in a cozy Victorian-era home, Toga’s International Cuisine (122 W. Lauridsen Blvd., 360/452-1952) specializes in upscale German and Hungarian dinners, but also includes Northwest seafood. This place is very nice, but expensive.

Four miles east of Port Angeles, C’est Si Bon (23 Cedar Park Dr., 360/452-8888, 5–9 p.m. Tues.–Sun., closed Mon., entrées $20–25) prepares delicious local seafood with a French accent. The Olympics and rose garden views add to the luxurious ambiance.

Located downstairs from an organic grocery, Bella Italia (117B E. 1st St., 360/457-5442, 4–10 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 4–8:45 p.m. Sun.) blends traditional Italian cooking with a natural foods sensibility. The result is easily Port Angeles’ finest Italian restaurant, with great desserts, too.
