Water Street houses numerous art galleries, antique shops, cafés, trendy gift shops, and an import toy store. Ancestral Spirits Gallery (921 Washington St., 360/385-0078, www.ancestralspirits.com, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Sun.–Fri., 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Sat.) features an impressive blend of modern and traditional Native American art, masks, and jewelry.
Earthenworks Gallery (1002 Water St., 360/385-0328, www.earthenworksgallery.com, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. daily) sells high quality, creative works—especially ceramics.
Gallery Walks are held the first Saturday of each month, 5:30–8 p.m. March–Dec., during which galleries hang new works, serve refreshments, and often have artists on hand. Walks are self-guided, so just show up downtown and go for a walk!
FairWinds Winery (1984 Hastings Ave. W., 360/385-6899, www.fairwindswinery.com, noon–5 p.m. daily Memorial Day–Labor Day) is a tiny family operation producing mainstream varietals as well as some unique offerings such as Aligote and its award-winning Fireweed Mead.
