Comedy Clubs
Seattle’s biggest comedy club, Comedy Underground (222 S. Main St., 206/622-4550, www.comedyunderground.com) in Pioneer Square is one of the top West Coast destinations for national comedy acts. Expect capacity crowds in a crowded setting when attending headliner acts.
See both local and big-time acts at Giggles (5220 Roosevelt Way NE, 206/526-5347, www.gigglescomedyclub.com) in the U District, which offers cheap food and beer to go with the show.
Check out theater sports and improv acts at one of two venues. Near Pike Place Market, Unexpected Productions (1428 Post Alley, 206/587-2414) offers quirky competitions between quick-thinking thespians à la Who’s Line is it Anyway?
And in the U District, Jet City Improv (5031 University Way NE, 206/781-3879, www.jetcityimprov.com) performs from-the-hip sketches and bits on Friday and Saturday nights.
