Steak and Seafood
Metropolitan Grill (820 2nd Ave., 206/624-3287, 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 4–10:45 p.m. Sat., 4–10 p.m. Sun., $50) is one of the best places in town for steak, and it fills up with business folk at lunch. Seafood (including great clam chowder), pork, lamb, and pastas are also on the menu. Expensive, but worth it.
Located a short stroll from Safeco Field and Qwest Field, F.X. McRory’s Steak, Chop & Oyster House (419 Occidental Ave. S., 206/623-4800, www.fxmcrorys.com, 11:30 a.m.–1 a.m. daily, $18) is the ideal place for a post-game party with friends. The fun-loving young crowd is loud, and the menu includes prime rib and salmon, along with six types of raw oysters on the half-shell. Beer isn't brewed here, but more than two dozen different Northwest microbrews are on tap.
