Cafés and Delis
Right in Pike Place Market is Cafe Campagne (1600 Post Alley, 206/728-2233, www.campagnerestaurant.com, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 5:30 a.m.–10 p.m. Sat.–Sun., $22), the downstairs neighbor of the more upscale Campagne. The café serves all three meals, but its breakfasts are a relative bargain. Try the Provençal eggs at breakfast and at dinner go for the French 101, a three-course prix fixe for $33.
Foodies love
Steelhead Diner (95 Pine St., 206/625-0129, www.steelheaddiner.com, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Tues.–Sat., 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Sun., $20) for its inventive take on counter-and-stool roadhouse fare. Nosh on delicious eggs served with andouille sausage and potato latkes, veggie "meat" loaf, delectable roast chicken with wilted spinach, and dozens more dishes that will make your eyes roll back into your head. Don’t skip this one.
