Getting Around
Getting around downtown is easy—all Metro buses here are free every day between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. The boundaries for this free area are S. Jackson Street, I-5, Pine Street, Battery Street, and Alaskan Way. A bus tunnel runs through the center of the city, with downtown stops at Convention Place (9th and Pine St.), Westlake Center (4th and Pine), University Street (3rd and University), Pioneer Square, and the International District (5th Ave. and S. Jackson St.). The Monorail connects Westlake Center with Seattle Center.
