Photographers can stock up on supplies at Cameras West (1908 4th Ave., 206/622-0066). Professionals head to Glazer’s Camera Supply (430 8th Ave. N, 206/624-1100 or 888/531-3232, www.glazerscamera.com), where the shelves are crammed with lighting gear, darkroom supplies, tripods, and other supplies. Its digital photography shop is right across the street.
Also of note is Photo-Tronics (513 Dexter Ave. N, 206/682-2646), which offers a large professional camera shop, as well as quick camera repair. It is the only place downtown that will clean a digital sensor within a day.
Photographic Center Northwest (900 12th Ave., 206/720-7222, www.pcnw.org) offers a wide range of classes and workshops for photographers at all levels, along with darkroom rentals.
