Queen Anne and Magnolia
Queen Anne is a small neighborhood crowning the tallest hill in Seattle. Given the commanding vistas from this location, it comes as no surprise that the captains of industry built mansions here at the turn of the 20th century. Many of these spacious and grand old homes are still here, along with a few cobblestone streets, but alongside are other, less ostentatious homes that give Queen Anne a comfortable atmosphere.
West of Queen Anne is the similar Magnolia neighborhood, with a wonderful shoreside route (Magnolia Drive) along the north edge of Elliott Bay to Discovery Park.
