Elbe
Fourteen miles from Mount Rainier National Park, Elbe is a wide spot in the road and a pleasant place to enjoy the foothill sights with a dose of railroad memorabilia.
Visitors can eat dinner aboard the Cascadian Dinner Train, spend a night in a caboose at Hobo Inn, or peek inside Elbe’s Evangelische Lutherische Kirche, a tiny white clapboard church measuring just 18 by 24 feet.
