Bainbridge Island Historical Museum
The history of former mill towns Port Madison and Port Blakely is preserved in exhibits and displays at the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum (215 Ericksen Ave. NE, 206/842-2773, www.bainbridgehistory.org, 1–4 p.m. Wed.–Mon., 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sat. in summer, $2.50 adults, $1.50 students and seniors, $5 family, kids under 5 free) in Strawberry Hill Park. The building itself offers a blast from the past; it’s a charming little red schoolhouse.
