Ram’s Head Trail This 1.2-mile hike takes you to the windswept end of Ram’s Head, the southernmost point of St. John. First, you follow the wide, sunny 0.25-mile path down to Salt Pond Beach. The Ram’s Head trail starts at the eastern end of the beach, climbing through dry, scrubby woods before reaching a rocky bay. The final ascent is up 200 feet to Ram’s Headthe views and general atmosphere are spectacular. The 0.25-mile trail to Drunk Bay veers off near the beginning of this hike. Drunk Bay is excellent for beachcombing. |
