After Buenos Aires’s unrelentingly level pampas, the lush rolling hills of Entre Ríos Province can be a pleasure. As befits its name (“between the rivers”), the province’s great natural asset is its enormous southbound rivers, the Paraná and the Uruguay, that unite to form the Río de la Plata (often glossed into English as “River Plate”).
Gualeguaychú [1]’s summer Carnaval is the biggest event, while the palm savannas of Parque Nacional El Palmar [2] preserve a truly unique environment.
