El Calafate [1] is surprisingly light on nightlife, which consists mostly of dining out and drinking at venues such as Don Diego de la Noche (Avenida Libertador 1603, tel. 02902/49-3270).
On Calafate’s western outskirts, the best place for drinks is the Shackleton Lounge (Avenida Libertador 3287, tel. 02902/49-3516), which has lake views but suffers excesses of electronica.
Tradiciones Argentinas (Avenida del Libertador 351, tel. 02902/49-1281) is a folkloric music venue.
