About 51 kilometers east of Panguipulli [1] and 15 kilometers southeast of Coñaripe [2] on Ruta 201, the international highway to Junín de los Andes, the luxury Centro Turístico Termal Coñaripe occupies a site at the east end of Lago Pellaifa. Equipped with swimming pools, a spa, tennis courts, footpaths, and bridle trails, not to mention a 120-seat restaurant serving home-grown trout, it charges US$90/140–105/170 s/d with breakfast for each of its eight hotel rooms, but also full board packages. In addition, there are cabañas that can work out cheaper on a per person basis.
Pools are open to nonguests (US$10 pp, US$5 for children 2–10); access to the indoor pool/spa costs US$5 more. Day tours from Villarrica [3], including transportation, cost just US$19 and leave at 11:30 a.m. from the business office of the Centro Turístico Termal Coñaripe (Pedro Montt 525, Villarrica, tel. 045/411111, www.termasconaripe.cl [4]).
