Hostels

While Chile has only one dedicated Hostelling International facility, in Santiago’s Barrio Brasil [1], there are several affiliates throughout the country that give discounts to HI members. With few exceptions, they are usually not dramatically cheaper than some more conventional budget options, but they do offer the opportunity to meet like-minded travelers. There are also unofficial hostels, some of them outstanding.
