Just a five-minute walk from the Skytrain, this Raffles property is a well-located five-star hotel. The grounds, including an expansive leafy garden, feature some of the nicest outdoor space in Bangkok [2] and a gorgeous free-form swimming pool.

The main lobby is decorated with dark wood and multistory ceilings against the backdrop of the tropical gardens, which you can see thanks to the glass walls in the back.

Some of the rooms have very modern furnishings; others are more traditional. All are big and airy, though, and some have small balconies overlooking the gardens and swimming pool.

It’s not quite as fancy as the Oriental [3] or the Four Seasons [4], but also not quite as expensive.
