On the banks of the Chao Phraya, across the river from Wat Arun [2] in a leafy garden, is this very small, very lovely, and extraordinary compound where it feels more like staying in a luxurious but traditional wooden Thai house than staying in a guesthouse or hotel.
There is really nothing else like this in Bangkok [3]. The dining sala (sitting area) and swimming pool overlook the river and two of the three villas have small kitchen areas stocked with the basics necessary to prepare a meal. The Riverside Villa has its own private deck with an amazing view of Wat Arun.
The staff serves breakfast to guests in the morning and can arrange specially prepared meals served in the sala.
If you want to take advantage of the river to get around, there’s a private boat and captain available. Make reservations only through the website.
