Sonoma is a full-service restaurant and nightspot with a downstairs that serves a menu of small plates, charcuterie, and cheese platters designed to satisfy the hungry diner, and a wine bar upstairs with a more limited menu and, surprisingly, a smaller wine-by-the-glass list than downstairs, but with more selective choices.

With low upholstered benches, leather cubes, and modern sofas, Sonoma’s wine bar attracts a trendy upscale crowd.

Oddly, given its name, the wine list leans heavily toward Italian offerings. The menu, though, stands firmly in the realm of Napa Valley. Specials include half-price bottles from the reserve list on Sunday.
