Weaving the history of cultures as told by their fabrics, the Textile Museum features clothing, rugs, tapestries, and artifacts, some of which date to 3000 B.C. At the museum, visitors can learn what it takes to make a Persian carpet and appreciate the artistry that goes into making some of the world’s finest cloth.
The exhibit halls are divided into two spaces: the Collection Gallery, a soothing art museum that showcases beautiful works, and the Activity Gallery, with instructional stations on weaving, dyeing, and finishing.
The museum also features a lovely garden and a fine, pricey gift shop with unique handmade wares.
